News reports stated that Iran handed over three drones to the leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq and dispatched about 90 military advisors from the Revolutionary Guards to the Habbaniya military base in Anbar, ahead of the tripartite security meeting to be held in Baghdad between the interior ministers of Iran, Syria and Iraq.
The Saudi newspaper "Okaz" added today, Wednesday (June 24, 2015), that Iranian drones, which were received by the leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces, will start monitoring the movements of ISIS elements in Anbar and Mosul in the coming hours.
According to security information, the advisors of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards who were stationed at the Habbaniyah military base, east of Ramadi, chose to be located inside the base, 500 meters away from the headquarters of their 250 American counterparts.
An Iraqi official, who refused to be named, revealed to the newspaper that Iran has provided the Popular Mobilization Forces, in addition to the drones, with large quantities of equipment.
