A team of researchers in Holland has developed a new electronic system for self-driving cars, which reduces their vulnerability to traffic accidents.

The second category of self-driving vehicles relies on sensors installed inside the same vehicle, such as microcameras used for computer vision or internal radar devices to identify their position on the road and monitor their surrounding elements, such as other vehicles, pedestrians or others.
The website "TechX Magazine", a specialist in technology, reported that researcher Robin Van Hoike of the Dutch University of Eindhoven was able to combine the two guidance systems into one system where he benefits from sharing information with other self-driving cars on the road while using the guidance and monitoring techniques that are present inside the car itself.
The Study Group emphasizes that the new system represents an important step in self-driving driving techniques and the avoidance of traffic accidents in crowded areas, which increases safety during the use of this type of vehicle.
