Drone design...qualified Assiut engineering student team for the American Automotive Association competition.</p><p>Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, announced that a student team at Assiut University was able to qualify for the American Motor Vehicle Association competition in California, after they built an RC Plane drone next April in the United States of America, which is the first aircraft of its kind in the world. Upper Egypt, and it was tested several days ago at the Arab Organization for Industrialization airport in Helwan, under the supervision of the Air Force. It was controlled by a specialized pilot, and this experiment succeeded without causing any damage to the plane, and successfully completing the mission.</p><p>The students of the team also confirmed that the student team came within the framework of the Science and Innovation Club in the General Administration of Youth Welfare under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Abdel Rahman, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing and Scientific Activity Advisor at the Supreme Committee for Activities, Ezz El Din Al Mansouri, Director General of Youth Welfare, and Walid Zaidan, Director of Activity Management Scientific sponsorship of youth.</p><p>Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the College of Engineering, explained that the student team includes 9 male and female students, all from different academic teams in the Departments of Mechanics and Mechatronics at the College of Engineering, and that the competition is organized by the American Automobile Association in the United States of America, which is an affirmation of what the college includes distinct elements of Students continue to work diligently in order to renew their position and reap advanced places in all international forums, and to represent Assiut University in a decent and honorable manner.</p><p>Dr. Ezzat Abdel Moneim Marghani, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that the team consists of 9 students, namely: Mostafa Mohamed, Ahmed Gamal, Youssef Mohieldin, Mohamed Salah, Jehan Mohamed, Israa Shaaban, Dalia Eid, Abdel Montaser Fouad. Anthony Bushra.</p><p>The student team stated that the aircraft was manufactured under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Othman, a teacher at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanics, and Eng. Rami Antar, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanics. The most important challenges were their ability to successfully manufacture an aircraft, although this specialization is not available at the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University.</p><p>The aircraft is distinguished by its weight not exceeding 6 kilograms and is capable of carrying a weight close to its own weight, and the aircraft was manufactured from local materials, as no imported raw materials were relied upon in the aircraft except the engines only, because they are not manufactured inside Egypt.</p></div>
