During their participation in the first day of the International Conference on Technology Security and Defense Industries, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, they stressed that there will be an expectation that the possibility of future wars will be determined more Accuracy, by strengthening communication episodes, developing independent systems that help individuals to accomplish tasks, and identify ethical issues related to the extent of independence that these systems will enjoy.

The first day of the International Conference on Technology Security and Defense Industries witnessed the discussion of many central issues, in the defense and defense technology security, and the growing use of advanced technology in operations, and the event is held from 2 to 3 March 2022, with 70 speakers from more than about 30 countries.

In the opening speech of the conference, the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Muhammad bin Ahmed Al -Bawardi, stressed the importance of innovation in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, and how this transformation is evident in the defensive sector.

Al -Bawardi said, “The advanced nature of defensive spending gives a clear indication that technological innovation has become a fundamental pillar and an incentive for military modernization efforts in the world.So no longer evaluates the National Defense Force and its arrangement in terms of competitiveness depends on the number of material assets in the state arsenal, but will be added to this technological capabilities and innocence.

He added that «the tremendous ability of these technologies to bring about transformations and the acceleration of their development, clearly shows that there is an urgent necessity to adopt a security approach, belonging to the twenty -first century, and we can all build a security approach, through cooperation in a way that serves all the parties concerned, via (The governance of technology based on rules), developing standards and regulatory frameworks, setting (strict export controls), enabling (cooperation based on cooperation), adopting (reinforcing joint employment), and finally (immediate analysis and information exchange) between all concerned parties ».

The International Conference on Technology Security and Defense Industries is the first event of its kind in the Middle East region that focuses exclusively on the increasing interdependence between the defense and innovation sector in advanced technology, as it attracts the elite of defense leaders from around the world, policy makers, the most prominent researchers and academics, and defense technology security experts.

The conference includes a multi -track agenda, as the first day dialogues focused on the issues of security technology, robots, independent systems and space.

The assistant undersecretary for support and defense industries in the Ministry of Defense, Major General Mubarak Al -Jabri, spoke about strict export controls and technology security systems in defense as the basis of cooperation and alliances.

The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Action Applications, Omar Sultan Al -Ulama, spoke about the role of innovations in the UAE in making the residents of the state one of the most happiness and satisfaction in the world.

The CEO of the Edge Group, the advanced technology group for defense, Faisal Al -Bannai, participated in the discussion, describing the principles behind the establishment of the defense group and the group's intention to build a sovereign product market for use at the local level as well as for export.

The Minister of State for Advanced Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Space Agency, Sarah Al -Amiri, dealt with the contribution of space techniques in national security through various fields, in her main speech on this issue.
