Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)-- The 2021 Drone Photo Awards revealed some of the photographic scenes that succeeded in taking first places in different categories.. Here are the most prominent ones!

In a statement on Tuesday, the Siena Awards, the international festival of visual arts organizing the competition, announced that Norway's Terry Kolas won the top prize, after he captured the image of thousands of pink-footed geese flying over a snowy ground.

Besides Kollas' stunning photo, other winners are among the tens of thousands of applications submitted in 102 countries, according to the organizers.

Russian photographer Sergei Poletaev won the urban category, after he captured a picture of a monastery near Moscow, with a huge power plant behind it.

And the Omani, Qassem Al-Farsi, ranked first, in the wildlife category, with a picture of a green turtle preparing to return to the sea after laying its eggs.

Australian Phil de Glanville observed the moment when surfer Ole Henry was standing on a frightening wave. In doing so, de Glanville succeeded in winning the picture in the Sports category.

Vietnamese photographer, Trong Pham Hoy, topped the people category, with a picture of a fisherman in a mangrove forest.

American photographer Martin Sanchez won the Nature category after he spotted a volcanic eruption in Iceland.

Romanian photographer, Jorge Popa, won the abstract category, after spotting images of Transylvania's waterways poisoned by chemical waste from copper and gold mining.

And Matteo Original from Italy won the wedding category when he snapped a photo of the sunset in Marina di Pisa, Italy.

The photos will be displayed in an exhibition in Siena, Italy, from October 23 to December 5.
