His birth and upbringing

Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was born on June 27, 1956 AD, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and he is the second son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his mother is Princess Sultana bint Turki bin Ahmed Al -Sudairy;Where Prince Sultan held the position of Chairman of the Saudi General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage until December 27, 2018, and he is the founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Aviation Club, and the Honorary Chairman of the Arab Tourism Organization.

Prince Sultan received his education in the United States of America, and obtained a scientific degree in public communication from the University of Denver in the United States of America, and Sultan also obtained a master’s degree in social and political science from Maxwell College for Citizenship and Public Affairs at the University of Siracheiose «New York».

Immediately after his return from the space flight, Sultan became a founding member of the "Space Explorer" Association, an international organization;Where he was a member of its board of directors, and thanks to his unique achievements, Sultan received many governmental honors, especially from Islamic and Arab countries such as: Pakistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco and Syria.

Prince Sultan was appointed as the first Secretary -General of the Supreme Authority for Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when the organization was formed in 2000;Where he worked to expand and enhance the tourism sector in his country;Through the role of the leader in developing the country's tourism strategy and setting up industry regulations, Sultan remained the head of that organization when its name was changed in 2008 to the Saudi Tourism and Antiquities Authority, yet it was announced in 2018 that he would leave this position to become the head of the Saudi Space Authority.
