Russian state-owned company Rosoboronexport plans to expand its arms for export, including robots and drones, next year.
“Next year we place our bets on the development of proposals in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics, high-tech products with elements of artificial intelligence, high-precision ammunition, as well as means of combating terrorism,” said Alexander Mikheev, President of Rosoboronexport.
In 2021, Russia approved arms exports worth 2.5 billion euros to sub-Saharan Africa.
In October, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said that the annual volume of Russian exports of military products remains at a stable level of $15 billion. Russia has reportedly signed new contracts to supply more than $10 billion worth of weapons and military equipment this year. The company's export order portfolio has exceeded $52 billion.
