We preferred to leave Syria and support Iran unconditionally.. Meshaal: The disruption of the PLO should not continue

Doha-"Al-Quds".com- Khaled Meshaal, head of Hamas' political bureau abroad, said this evening, Saturday, that it is not permissible to continue disrupting the PLO, and that it is necessary to rebuild the struggle program of the Palestinian people.

During his speech at the conference “The Future of the Palestinian Cause in Light of Regional and International Changes,” Meshaal called for the need to stop security coordination, noting that despite coordination, the resistance’s operations rates doubled during 2021 compared to 2020. He said.

He stressed the need not to insist on "experimenting with the experimenter and clinging to the illusions of Oslo." like he said.

He pointed out that there are efforts to unify the Palestinian front to include everyone, saying, "We do not seek to deprive anyone, and we do not accept that anyone monopolize the leadership."

He pointed out that Hamas encourages all Palestinian youth and independent initiatives to end the division and achieve Palestinian reconciliation, noting that a joint statement was issued with the Popular Front and Islamic Jihad, in the first for the formation of a united Palestinian front that includes all Palestinians.

He said, "We do not want to create an alternative body for the Liberation Organization, and we do not accept that the doors remain closed. We want to achieve Palestinian reconciliation on the basis of elections that represent the will of our people, and partnership with all factions, regardless of the results of these elections."

"It is wrong to wait for changes in the international arena to resolve our Palestinian cause, for we are the ones who shape our destiny and decide our present and our future," he said.

He added, "The American withdrawal from the region, and its preoccupation with China and Russia, enhances the opportunities for the countries of the region to play important roles away from dependency, and certainly this serves our Palestinian cause."

He continued, "The occupation is no longer America's effective tool in the region, and it is no longer the indomitable army that can subdue the Arab region," noting that there is the emergence of regional powers in the region that can play a positive role in serving the Palestinian cause, especially the decline in the legitimacy of the occupation internationally, and the growing boycott of it. in various countries of the world.

The leader of Hamas abroad pointed out that his movement seeks with all its might to develop the resistance using tactics and tools, on all fronts.

Mishaal stressed Hamas' adherence to the right of return, the liberation of prisoners, and the development of the resistance, to defend our Islamic-Christian sanctities, and to break the siege of Gaza.

Regarding normalization, the head of Hamas’ political bureau abroad said, “The normalization projects in the region are still cortical from the official regimes, and the people still reject normalization, and the latest example is the Kuwaiti player Muhammad Al-Awadi’s refusal to quarrel with an Israeli player.”

Mishaal touched on the Arab reality, saying, “The Arab-Arab and Arab-Islamic differences hurt us, and we are bullied by the occupation and considered it part of the alliances in the region.”

Regarding the relationship with Iran, Meshaal said, “This relationship is not new, and it began in the early nineties, and is based on the philosophy of Hamas that it is a resistance movement that cannot give up its Arab and Islamic depth.”

He added, "Iran is distinguished from the countries that support our people and our resistance in that it has a margin of military support, backing and manufacturing."

He continued, "The support we receive from Iran and others is not conditional, and the proof of that is our exit from Syria by a decision of the movement's leadership."

Mishaal said, “When we were in Syria, we found ourselves required to take a position supporting the regime against the people, and we tried to present initiatives to solve the crisis in its infancy, but we were guests and preferred to leave rather than take a stand with one party against another.”

The Hamas leader stressed that Hamas' relationship with any party does not mean congruence with visions.

Hamas does not abandon the nation and does not accept any offense against any country, pointing out that it had early relations with all the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and we hoped that it would remain strong with everyone. like he said.

Meshaal stressed that Hamas is united in the West Bank, Gaza and the diaspora, saying, "I assure everyone that the policy of our movement is one."
